This is another iron-on hem tape project. I told you I was obsessed with it. I hoard fabric samples. They are pretty and free, and they come in the mail which is always exciting. So for once I decided I’d try to actually use them for something instead of keeping them stowed in a box in my closet. So I busted out the hem-tape, which along with a glue gun should be in the tool box of every lazy crafter. In about half an hour I made these appliqued coasters and trivet. Half that time was spent trying to peel off the label from the fabric samples.  A warm iron helps, but I still couldn’t get all the paper off, hence the applique. If you  can’t beat it, glue something pretty to it!
